10. In-Vehicle Recording Policy (Mandatory Camera Use)
For the protection of both passengers and drivers, Ridery App LLC requires all active drivers to use an in-vehicle recording device (“dashcam”) during every ride booked through the Ridery platform.
These devices may capture video and/or audio inside the vehicle strictly for safety, security, and evidence purposes.
By accepting a ride through the Ridery app, passengers acknowledge and consent to this security recording as part of Ridery’s operational policy and safety program.
Purpose and Use
- Recordings are intended solely to ensure safety, prevent fraud, and assist in the resolution of disputes or incidents.
- Ridery App LLC may request access to such recordings for internal investigation, insurance claims, or law-enforcement cooperation.
- Recordings are stored and managed by each driver and must be handled responsibly under applicable privacy and data-protection laws.
Prohibited Uses
Drivers are strictly forbidden from:
- Publishing, posting, or sharing any portion of recordings on social media or online platforms.
- Selling, transferring, or distributing recordings to third parties.
- Using recordings for entertainment, commercial gain, or personal publicity.
Any violation of this policy will result in immediate deactivation of the driver’s Ridery account, possible legal action, and referral to the proper authorities for violation of privacy and data-protection laws.
Ridery App LLC reserves the right to permanently ban any driver or user who misuses recorded content or fails to comply with this mandatory safety requirement.
